LATER YEARS
  • Married name: Cris Loughridge (Husband – Ryan)
What is your greatest memory from your year as Miss Nevada?  My greatest memory of my year was certainly the ten days I spent with my sisters competing for Miss America. I fostered lifelong friendships and was honored to represent my state and the hard work I had put in leading up to those ten days.
What do you feel you learned from being Miss Nevada?  I learned a lot of lessons and skills my year of service that will behoove me the rest of my life.  I feel that the trait I cherish most is my commitment to being authentically me. It’s a challenge to feel 100% you when pressures of serving and representing your state, your organization, family and friends weigh on your shoulders.  It is a skill that has allowed me to flourish in my life after the crown.
What advise would you give the future Miss Nevada?  To our next Miss Nevada. Welcome!  Be sure to utilize your resources, it takes a village. Set a list of priorities of what you hope to accomplish this year and stick to it without waiver. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Relish your time with your sisters both Nevada and national, they are the only ones who understand exactly what you’re experiencing. Be authentically you and you’ll have no regrets.
