TRIVIA:   She won her first pageant, Miss Reno Sparks, in 2003. She has auditioned unsuccessfully three times for “American Idol.” About being part of a reality TV show: “It’s a lot of hurry up and wait,” she said. “It’s all edited to make interesting TV,” she said. She said she’s seen a few commercials for the upcoming reality show and they keep showing a clip of her crying. The next clip talks about how there is a lot of rejection in pageants. “I was crying because my roommate had being going through a really hard time with her mom, and I was upset,” she said. “They made the clip seem like I was crying because of rejection.” Her Miss Nevada crown is heavy. The Miss Nevada crown is covered in Swarovski Crystals and only once has she been stopped at the airport for having it in her carry-on luggage. “The security guy asked me if I had a really big necklace in my bag,” she said.
