  • Won Special Judges Award at Miss America for “exemplifying high ideals of youth” with a $1000 scholarship.  She was told that the Miss America committee considered her for a Non-finalist talent award but chose to give her the special judges award instead.

  • Because Miss Nevada must live in the state during her reign she had to stop attending University of Utah and chose to stay with state director and take classes at the University of Nevada and work part time.
