Scholarship Information


On this page you will find information including scholarships awarded at the most recent Miss Nevada Scholarship Pageant as well as instructions on how to claim scholarships you won at the local and state level and lastly, national scholarships given by the Miss America Organization for which you may be eligible.

The Miss America Organization is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance.  This assistance is not just for the handful of young women who become Miss America, but is available to the over 12,000 young women who compete in the state and local competitions as well.

 How to Claim Scholarships Awarded:

 

 


Scholarships Eligible Contestants Can Apply For:

  • 2011 Dr. & Mrs. David B. Allman Scholarship - Use this form to apply for a scholarship if you are in medical school.  This scholarship is available to women who have competed within the system on the State, Local, or National level from 2002 to present regardless of whether a title was won.
  • 2011 Eugenia Vellner Fischer Award for the Performing Arts - For women pursuing a degree (undergraduate, master or higher) in the performing arts.  This includes dancers, instrumental, monologue, and vocal.  This scholarship is available to women who have competed within the system on the State, Local, or National level from 2002 to present regardless of whether a title was won.
  • Tiffany Phillips Scholar-Athlete Award - The Tiffany Phillips Scholar-Athlete Award is presented to an outstanding scholar-athlete that participated in the Miss America program during the current year regardless of whether a title was won.  All applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and be eligible for competition per the contestant contract.
