Conducted personal TV interviews with Senator Orrin Hatch, Senator Bob Bennett and Governor Gary Herbert in February 2010; Reported LIVE for 12 hours at a dedication/telethon for the DSC Communication Building; Nevada Champion in the 3200 meter run; Cast in "Les Miserables" at the Las Vegas Academy; Authored a 242 page book detailing my experiences in China; Delivered an "impromptu" speech to over 700 Dixie College students in 2011; Selected as the only Higher Education student to serve on the Utah Women & Education Project board; Appears frequently on CEC-TV cooking shows; Ran a half-marathon in 2010 and finished in 2 hours (even though I hadn't trained for it!)
Interesting Facts
Invited to intern for Senator Harry Reid in Washington, D.C.; I've swam with sharks, flown a plane, been gliding, gone white-water rafting and experienced a NASCAR ride along; Worked construction in 2008; Appeared on Chinese national news and in a national newspaper when the Olympic Torch passed through Hefei, China in 2008; Mojave High School Girls' Track MVP; Attended 2011 Miss America Pageant as a member of the press and actively participated in the post-crowning press conference; I love eating cookie dough and doing impersonations!
